BFSK Modulator for Underwater Acoustic Systems

The BII-4030 is a BFSK modulator with SINE carrier signal, which works with a digital output (TTL/CMOS Level) of a DAQ and a power amplifier to drive the communication transducer in high power application. Besides, BII-4030 can also be used to drive transducers directly for low power application in Laboratory or pilot study in field.

Technical Notes:
Frequency shift keying (FSK) is a frequency modulation scheme in which digital information is transmitted through discrete frequency changes of a carrier signal. Binary FSK (BFSK) uses a pair of discrete frequencies (Mark and Space) to transmit binary (1s and 0s) information. the "1" is for the mark frequency and the "0" is for the space frequency.
