BII-7580 High Frequency Underwater Transducer: 0.5 to 3 MHz

BII-7580 series high frequency underwater transducers are suitable for uses in short echo-ranging systems and utilization of ultrasonic energy and Ultrasonic testing and analysis. These transducers are made of specialized acoustic materials and structure to achieve broadband performance and high resolution. BII-7580 is suitable to be used in laboratory, river, lake and ocean.

Optional mounting parts are available for installation on portable-mounting apparatus, submersibles, pipe, tank or vessel.
An impedance matching transformer is optional to provide correct impedance match to load requirements of power amplifiers.
A Transmit & Receive Switch is available to be integrated inside transducer for amplifying the received sounds and driving long cable.

Technical notes
The cable has adverse effects on the transducer performances in high frequency range. The longer the cable is, the worse the adverse effects on the transducer performance is. When you place order, please specify the shortest cable length acceptable to your project.
If you use long cable in your project, you may have an impedance matching unit built inside the transducer to match cable impedance such as 50 ohms RG58 coax.
