Benthowave manufactures portable underwater acoustic receivers for use in active Sonar system, communication, bioacoustic, target tracking, sound detection and recording, which integrate hydrophone/receiving array (order separately), preamplifier, filter, signal processing unit into one compact water-proof case, and provide functions of programmable gain, envelope detection and array beamforming.

Product Description
BII-8041 Programmable gain preamplifier: 0dB to 60dB or 20dB to 80dB gain tuning in 20dB steps.
Detect weak signals and fight with the propagation loss.
Data Recording and Analysis = Hydrophone/Transducer + BII-8041 + Digital Recorder or DAQ of the Computer.
BII-8042 Narrowband envelope detector: 1kHz to 1.3 MHz available.
Detect the energy of the narrow band signals such as Pulsed SINE, Chirp, etc., the extracted envelope signal can be fed to low speed (low cost) DAQ of the computer for data recording and analysis.
Data Recording and Analysis = Hydrophone/Transducer + BII-8042 + Digital recorder or Low Speed DAQ of the Computer.
BII-8043 Filtering-SUM Beamformer with built-in amplitude shading for suppressing sidelobes' level of line array to be less than -30dB.
Direction Finding Sonar = Line Array + BII-8043 + Waveform Display. It is a great handy portable tool to track the sound sources in a specific frequency range with rotating the transducer array manually or mechanically.
BII-8044 Filtering-SUM Beamformer with built-in amplitude shading for suppressing sidelobes' level of planar array to be less than -30dB.
